ONTARIO — Thursday evening at the Malheur County Fair delivered music and rodeo events. The first hint of carnival rides, which were scheduled to start Wednesday but were delayed, appeared behind the arena but still weren’t operational. Attendees were able to watch slack calf roping and other rodeo events — the ICA Rodeo is Friday and Saturday nights starting at 8 p.m. Jesse Dayne & the Sagebrush Drifters and Shane Smith & The Saints played for fairgoers behind the Red Barn in the early evening.
