Malheur County schools’ graduation ceremonies begin Saturday

MALHEUR COUNTY – Malheur County’s high school seniors are gearing up for one of the most exciting days in their young lives – graduation.

The ceremonies will take place over the coming month, starting this weekend.

The first rites are this Saturday as Jordan Valley High School seniors take that proud walk to claim their diplomas. The graduation ceremony starts at 4 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium. A week later, Vale High School and Harper Charter will graduate their seniors on Sunday, May 19. Harper’s commencement ceremony is slated for 11 a.m., and Vale’s graduation is at 3 p.m.

Up next will be Nyssa and Adrian High Schools’ graduation ceremonies on Sunday, May 26. Commencement at Nyssa High School will be at 1 p.m. Adrian will have an evening ceremony, starting at 6 p.m.

Finally, Ontario High School is scheduled to graduate its seniors on Wednesday, May 29. The ceremony will be from 7 to 8 p.m.
