ADRIAN – Over 450 runners from across the Pacific Northwest are recovering after the fifth annual Owyhee Off-Road Challenge Saturday.
The half marathon, billed as one of the toughest half marathons in the Northwest, started at 10 a.m. at Two Rivers Community Park in downtown Adrian.
More than 160 runners ran south on Highway 201 and then off the road into the hills.
Just over an hour into the 13.1-mile race, 26-year-old Matthew Melton of Boise crossed the finish line with the time of one hour . . .
