Family movie night, spring cleaning and community service in Nyssa

Spring is here, and that means it’s time for yard work. Nyssa Burn Days are underway through March 25. Remember, Burn Days are for burning yard debris only.

• Family Movie Night at the Nyssa Library will be held this Thursday. There are a number of activities scheduled at the library all month long and some special events scheduled for spring break. Stop by the library to learn about all the activities and services available.

• Serve Day is coming on April 27. That may seem like a long time away, but volunteers and projects are needed now. To participate, you can join a team or suggest a project. Visit serveday.info and click on “join a team,” and then sign up to help as an individual, as a family or business/organization. To suggest a project, go to www.serveday.info and click on “suggest a project”. From there, complete the requested information and the Serve Day team will take it from there. Serve Day is your opportunity to get involved in giving back to our community.
