VALE – The Vale Alumni Association is accepting nominations for the 2019 Hall of Fame inductees through Friday, Feb. 22.
Members in good standing are welcome to vote on the next inductees during the next monthly meeting on Monday, Feb. 25 at 5:30 p.m. at the Malheur ESD meeting room.
Nominees are selected along three criteria. Those who have had an outstanding career, who have done work to put Vale on the map or dedicated a notable amount of time and effort to the Vale community.
To get a nomination application interested individuals can contact Bobbi Buttice at (541) 473-3681.
The alumni association is also accepting scholarship applications from Vale High School seniors until April 4. No applications will be accepted after that date. Students who make the first cut will be interviewed on April 24th and 25th. Applications for the scholarships can be picked up at the Vale High School counselor’s office.
The Vale Alumni Association also welcomes its new officers and board members, who were elected during the Nov. 26, 2018 annual meeting.
The newest officers are: Brian Wolfe, President; Max Buxton, vice president; Bobbi Buttice, treasurer; Topper Schlupe, secretary; Luke Keller, director; and Sandy Meisinger, alternate director. The VAA’s newest board members include Max Buxton, Topper Schlupe and Luke Keller.
