NYSSA — Community in Action will be at the Nyssa Senior Center on Wednesday, Nov. 28, to meet with individuals regarding the energy assistance program. Seniors and disabled persons eligible for energy assistance should call 541-889-9555 to schedule an appointment.
• The Nyssa Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held on Thanksgiving Day from noon to 2:30 p.m. at the Nyssa Senior Citizens Center.
Donations of funds and items for the dinner are being accepted. Contact Mary Shelton at 541-212-2987. Volunteers are also needed for set up, serving and clean up.
• As you start your Christmas shopping with all the bazaars this weekend, don’t forget Small Business Saturday on Nov. 24 when you can support the small, locally owned businesses in our community.
Then, on Tuesday, Nov. 27, which is Giving Tuesday, remember the many nonprofits and consider a gift to assist them with their endeavors.
