Water System Improvement Project

2nd Public Hearing Notice

The City of Nyssa, Oregon is completing a municipal water system improvement project funded with Community Development Block Grant funds from the Oregon Business Development Department. Project activities have taken place within the city limits of Nyssa as well as at existing City owned water facilities located east of town along the border with Idaho. It is estimated that the project has benefited at least 3,179 city residents of whom 35.655% meet the definition low or moderate income persons according to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

A public hearing will be held by the Mayor and City Council at 7:00pm on December 11th at 14 S 3rd Street, Nyssa, OR 97913

The purpose of the hearing is for the Mayor and Council to obtain citizens views about the project and to take comments about the local government’s performance. Written comments are also welcome and must be received by December 11th at 14 S 3rd Street both oral and written comments will be reviewed by the Mayor and Council.

The location of the hearing is accessible to the disabled. Please let Marla Roberts at 541-372-2264 know if you need any special accommodations to attend or participate in the hearing.

More information about the Oregon Community Development Block Grant program and the project is available for public review at City Hall during regular office hours. Advance notice is requested.
