Nyssa holiday happenings include youth benefit and dance to mark the annual harvest

NYSSA — Two events celebrating the harvest take place this Saturday.

The first, a Harvest Dinner, is hosted by the St. Bridget Catholic Youth as a fundraiser for the youth conference they plan to attend in 2019.

The dinner will be held at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 per child for a turkey dinner with all the fixings including dessert and a beverage.

That evening from 9 p.m. to midnight the Nyssa Eagles will be holding a Harvest Dance for those age 21 and over. The cost is $5 per person, with a portion of the proceeds going to local charities supported by the Nyssa Eagles.

Music will be provided by the Dale Borge Band.

• The Nyssa Senior Citizens Center, located at 316 Good Ave., will have a Holiday Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. This is a great opportunity to get started on your Christmas list with unique items for gift giving and yummy treats to keep your strength up for shopping.
