Belushi is coming to town for pro-pot party

ONTARIO - Actor Jim Belushi will join a Boise band as entertainment on Saturday for a community party hosted by a pro-marijuana political action committee.

AmeriCanna, led by the owners of Hotbox Farms in Huntington, supports repealing Ontario's ban on recreational marijuana sales in this November's election. The group has advertised the Community Harvest Party as an opportunity to "meet your local candidates" for Ontario city council and mayor.

Belushi headlines at the Four Rivers Cultural Center this Saturday. The former cast member of Saturday Night Live, who owns a marijuana farm in Oregon and a line of cannabis dispensaries, is slated to speak and entertain at the free event.

The Emily Stanton Band, an R&B, funk and soul band based in Boise also will play music. It runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m . . .
