EP Minerals is currently looking for BHC (Bulk Hopper Car) Maintenance Technician at the Vale, Oregon site.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Working safely is first priority.

-Performs BHC inspections upon arrival.

-Completes inspection reports and turns in to Production when complete.

-Performs pre-ship inspections for BHC before leaving the plant working with shipping department.

-Creates fault reports AND notifies supervisor of work orders needed to complete repairs to cars

-Repairs and modifies BHC using maintenance best practices.

-Preforms detailed inspection and reporting on complaint cars

-Performs test pumping of cars that arrive with product still in them.

-Performs in depth inspections of cars that are not functioning properly.

-Completes painting on rail cars and preparation for painting.

-Attend training or schools, as assigned.

-Maintaining a clean work environment/ picking up trash in BHC inventory and track areas

-Maintains the BHC truck in a clean and orderly manner.  

-Cutting/pulling weeds in the BHC maintenance area

-Mobile equipment operation

-Conducts cycle counts of BHC spares parts inventory

-Inspects equipment/safety gear used daily, and maintains a neat and orderly tool set. 

-Other duties as assigned by maintenance supervisor.

Other requirements:

-High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

-Shows good technical and troubleshooting skills

-The ability to work with a high degree of independence;

-The ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal)

-The ability to work in a fast paced environment

-Good attention to quality and detail

-Basic Computer skills

-Basic Math skills.

-Experience in a mining environment is preferred

-Experience in a maintenance environment is preferred

Heavy Equipment Mine Mechanic

EP Minerals is currently taking applications for a mine mechanic position located at our Vale, OR mine site. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•Safe work practices.

•Fulfill preventative maintenance program requirements.

•Perform general maintenance and inspection of brakes, drive lines, tires, engines, fluid systems and frames.

•Perform PM’s on a set preventative maintenance schedule.

•Keep records as required. 

•Examines protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, excavators, bulldozers, and all other support equipment including travel trailers.

•Sample fluids. 

•Fueling and lubrication of equipment.

•Work as a Load and Haul mechanic as required.

•Order parts, oil, fuel and supplies to maintain productivity.

Other requirements:

•High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; and two plus years of heavy equipment maintenance experience. 

•CDL license, doubles, tanker endorsement, with qualifying DMV driving history or ability to obtain one.

•Strong technical and troubleshooting skills. Electrical; Hydraulic; Pneumatic; Powertrain; brakes; electronics

•Ability to communicate effectively; written and oral. 

•Work with limited or no direct supervision.

OTR Driver – Class A

EP Minerals is currently looking for OTR Drivers at the Vale, Oregon site. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•Safety is a priority; observe road conditions and communicate safety issues.

•Operate double belly dump trailers that deliver ore from the mine sites to the production facility.

•Manage plant waste loads

•Load trucks with front-end loaders and tarping of the product.

•Operate loaders and other heavy equipment as needed.

•Inspect and maintain all equipment.

•Know and follow all state and federal regulations as well as company policies and procedures.  

Other requirements:

•Current Class A Driver’s License with Doubles and Tankers endorsement. 

•Qualifying DMV driving history

•Current DOT Physical/Medical card.

•Excellent driving and safety record

•Good attendance history

•Ability to work a flexible work schedule

•High School Diploma, GED; or equivalent experience.
