VALE – Malheur County District Attorney David Goldthorpe said Friday that three people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Douglas Madrid Wednesday night at a home outside of Ontario.

Goldthorpe identified those arrested for murder, conspiracy to commit murder, aiding and abetting a crime and hindering prosecution as Sean Christopher Prokop, 29, Sara Rene Carter, 25, and Ryan Stephen Macias, 24. All are of Ontario.

The three were scheduled to appear in court later Friday.

A fourth person of interest is still wanted for questioning, according to Goldthorpe.

Police were called to the 4400 block of Highway 201, north of Ontario, at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday evening. Madrid was transported to Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Ontario where he was pronounced dead.

“I want to thank the High Desert Task Force, Malheur County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon State Police and Idaho State Police for the time and effort made on this case,” said Goldthorpe.
