Robert (Bob) Lee Rumsey
Feb 17, 1942 – Oct 2. 2017
Robert Lee Rumsey, age 75, passed away at his home in Yuma, AZ on Oct 2, 2017.
Robert was born to Clifford and Marie Rumsey in Vale, OR on Feb 17, 1942.
Bob served in the US Army from 1959 – 1962. From there he returned to Vale, Oregon, and began his 40 year career as an agricultural inspector/buyer. These years afforded him the opportunity to travel and experience so many great adventures throughout the western United States. He retired in March 2006 at which time he and his wife, Jean, continued their love of travel and shared their time between homes in Vale and Yuma, Arizona.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Rumsey and Marie Rumsey Munson, and brother, Gary Rumsey.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jean Rumsey; sister, Patsy Shelton; brother, John Rumsey; children, Robert Rumsey Jr., Candy Woodruff, and Nick Rumsey; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He will always be remembered for his incredible sense of humor, quick-wit and uncanny ability to make you laugh. He will be truly be missed by his family and friends.
In keeping with the wishes of Bob, there will be no funeral services. A private memorial will be scheduled at a later date.


Virginia Miller Timmerman
April 8, 1919 – Oct. 2, 2017
Virginia Miller Timmerman died Monday, Oct. 2, 2017. According to wishes of the deceased, there will be a private burial.
Virginia was born April 8, 1919, to Frank A. and Romilda Holly Miller.  She grew up in the Big Bend area, graduated from Nyssa High School in 1937, then attended University of Oregon and Eastern Oregon State College.  She taught in Oregon and California.  During World War II she worked for the American Red Cross.
In 1947 she married Gerrit Timmerman.Since that time they had made their home on the family farm near Adrian.
Virginia is survived by her four daughters:  Jane Brewer, Joann Hollstein (John), Mary Ellefson, and Nancy Franklin (Rex).  She has four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life at the residence of John and Joann Hollstein, 8679 Deersky Ranch Trail, Nampa, ID Idaho, from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14.
