Josephine Emma Anderson

Josephine Emma Perry (Graham, Fritts) Anderson passed from this life on Sunday, May 7, 2017.  She was born on February 26, 1936, and raised in Vale, Oregon.  She was the only daughter of Walter and Irene Perry.
She attended Vale schools, graduating from Vale Union High School.  In 1956, she married Gary Graham.  One son was born to this union.  They later divorced in 1959.
She worked for Vale Supply (Quisenberry’s), Vale Flying Realty and the Justice of Peace Malheur County.  She started her federal career with the Bureau of Land Management, Vale Project in Vale, Oregon in 1969.
She married Don Anderson in September 1967 in Hilo, Hawaii.   They spent three years on the Big Island building federally funded apartments for low income people.  They moved back to Boise in 1980.  They divorced in 1985.
Josephine retired from her federal career in January 1996.  Josephine had many loves in her life, but found that her ultimate love was for her family.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Joe and Rene’ Graham; grandkids Lindsay and Tyler Smith and Lucas Graham; nephews Ted and Earl Perry; niece Dorseia Perry; and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 1979, her father in 1989 and her only brother in 1980.
Graveside service was at Valley View Cemetery in Vale on Saturday, May 13, under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home, Boise. Visitation was at the funeral home on Friday, May 12. At her request, there will be no services in Boise.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Boise branch of the Idaho Humane Society.
