Country View endures winter

Like many onion packaging owners, Scott McKinney saw the winter storms bring enough snow to destroy a shed and trigger a call to the insurance adjustor.

This past winter destroyed a shed at the Country View Golf Course located outside of Vale. The contents of the shed, including both fairway and green mowers, were destroyed too.

“Four of the mowers were just plain smashed,” said McKinney. “I have the insurance money in hand and am looking for mowers now.”

Apart from the lost equipment, the course is looking great for this time of the year, according to McKinney. In fact, the depth of snow proved to insulate the grass and with the warmer weather here, everything is looking good.
