Candy-filled eggs and plush toys dotted the grass at Vale City Park last Saturday – for a short time. After the Fire Department siren sounded to start the annual Easter egg hunt, it took about a minute for excited kids to scoop up the treasure from the lawn. Chamber of Commerce businesses filled the eggs for the annual event, and Lions Club volunteers were on hand to set up and man the hunt areas by age divisions.
All the kids went home with goodies, after first recycling the plastic eggs for next year’s Easter Egg extravaganza.
