Show features Nyssa artist

An exhibit of Nyssa resident Crystal Rodriguez’ artwork will open Friday, April 8, at the Four Rivers Cultural Center in Ontario.

The opening event will be from 6 to 8 p.m.

The exhibit continues to June 5, and admission is free.

Rodriguez works in acrylic in a style considered both pop and folk art, reminiscent of the bold style of Mexican painters.

Rodriguez, 30, was born in Nampa, Idaho, and raised and graduated high school in Nyssa.

She grew up in an artistic family, surrounded by art. She has drawn for many years, but began focusing on painting about nine years ago.
