Donald Curtis

Donald Curtis passed on February 29, 2106. He is survived by his wife Freda (Simmons) Curtis and children Jeffery D. Curtis of Vale, Deborah K. Trouten of Kuna, Donald K. Curtis of Utah and Dianna L. Baugh of Kuna. Five grandchildren: Alyssa Stam, Morgan Hart, Jordan Smith, Jacob Curtis and Alexandria Curtis, and two great grandchildren.

Donald was born March 11, 1937 in Coffeeville, Kansas and graduated high school in Enterprise, Oregon. Enterprise is the place that was always his hometown in his heart. As a young man there he cruised timber and surveyed some of his first roads in the Wallowa Mountains for Boise Cascade. He went to college and became a civil engineer. He worked for the Soil Conservation Service and then the BLM. He retired from Federal Civil Service in 1998. After retirement he did contract surveying and pipeline design work for the Vale . . .
